AT&T to buy T-Mobile

Posted by:

AT&T will buy T-Mobile from Duetsche Telekom.  According to CNBC, this acquisition “will increase AT&T’s infrastructure investment in the US by more than $8 billion over seven years.”  What does this mean?  This means that AT&T is looking for ways to expand their network quality and long term evolution capabilities.  Might be a good buy right now…

I’m still watching RSH

Posted by:

Has RSH found new resistance?  Its technicals lead me to believe it has.  I know that it’s Radio Shack and they aren’t well known for leading the industry by any means but their fundamentals are still strong, proving to me that they can still make it happen.  If they do find their resistance soon (hopefully at the current price of $14) this stock could easily start sailing sky high, possibly to its $22.00 days.  It’s worth a second ...

EK up 8.5%

Posted by:

I recommended EK (Eastman Kodak) in The Stock Advisor STG yesterday and it ended the day up 8.5%!  This stock may taper off a little after that kind of performance but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the beginning of a longer term uptrend for the company.  It’s worth putting on your watch list…

Why is BKS so cheap?

Posted by:

So Barnes and Noble put themselves up for sale, which isn’t great news.  And, like Borders, they’re having trouble competing with Amazon.  Blah blah blah.  But under $10/share?  That is the lowest this company has ever been (at least on my graphs that max out at ten years)!  So, is it headed for bankruptcy or is it going to be that company that, a year from now is selling for $30/share and everybody is looking back saying, “man, I sure ...

A couple stocks at bargain prices

Posted by:

BKS: Barnes & Noble, Inc. and BBY: Best Buy Co. Inc. are both at the lowest prices they’ve been for over two years.  And both look to have found resistance at their current price.  Might be worth adding these to your watch lists…

What’s up with AOL?

Posted by:

In mid February one of AOL’s officers gave his company’s stock life by buying up a bunch of it.  It bounced up nicely for a few days, then it tumbled once again shortly after.  Now it’s down around $19 and may have found its floor(?).  I have a hard time thinking this stock will truly rebound but its current technicals and fundamentals could prove me very wrong.  If it does rebound it could easily creep up to its recent glory ...

Jetblue jumps

Posted by:

I recommended JBLU yesterday in one of my apps.  It served me well and bounced up 5.69%!  Even with this quick jump this stock is still very undervalued.  Might be a good one for the long term?

In other news, I’ve been reading “The Neatest Little Guide to Stock Market Investing” by Kelly.  So far (I’m about 100 pages in) this book is great.  Kelly does a great job summarizing a lot of successful but overwhelming strategies (from ...

HDY?

Posted by:

I have been watching HDY for a while now, waiting for it to break resistance around $5.50.  It looks to have done that and now could continue its steep upward trend(?).  Its fundamentals aren’t too enticing but I don’t think that’s going to stop me from jupmong on board with this one.

I also just submitted a new app to the App Store.  It is entitled, The Stock Advisor LTG (Long Term Growth).  This app is geared for investors ...
